I first want to thank every one of you for your support and love.

The outpouring of concern through messages here and on Instagram made the challenges I faced last year that much easier to handle.

Welcome, 2021!

This year I am not making a resolution. Ha! I think we all know how disappointing not achieving those can be. Instead, I am making affirmations and setting my intentions for the New Year!

Affirmation 1

Self-love and self-care.

This year will be about Lori being Lori, doing what I love, and focusing on my joy—writing!

I've spent so much time trying to please everyone else I forgot myself.

If there is one thing I've learned from this past year, no one, and I mean no one, is responsible for anyone else’s happiness. If everyone creates their own joy, that alone will spread contentment to others.

How can anyone love you if you don't love yourself?

My true love is creating a story, and these past few weeks, I've found myself consumed. Case Four The Damned is at 24,050 words -and I am in my glory. I'm back, and I know without a doubt this book will be available for purchase in early spring.🎉

It feels so good to be flowing with the current of my joy.

Affirmation 2

Be Grateful - recognizing the blessings in life and focusing on that and not the hardships.

Affirmation 3

Be brave- fear is the Devil -I refuse to give into the useless energy anxiety creates.

Affirmation 4

Be kind-do one nice thing, no matter how big or small, for another every day. 😊

I'm keeping it simple this year. If I stick to these affirmations, my life will be as I want.

For those of you wondering...

I still have a ways to go with my treatments, but I'm prepared to handle for I am stronger, better, and happier than I've been in a long while.
