First review of The Damned

Only one, but at least it's a good one.

Lori Zaremba captivated me with this series at book one and each and every book since then has been even better than the one before, so now, with book four I knew we were in for something epic and I was not wrong! Case Four The Damned is an adventure right out of the gate. I had chills all over just from the very beginning! Lori Zaremba has a beautiful way of not just writing a book, but creating an entire world that you can escape into with characters who feel like friends...even if they're sometimes not alive. I adore how we never just are told any experience, whether that be from Trudy and the gang or the ghosts, we get to fully experience every angle of this book from the present and the past. Having that lets you really understand the ghosts and why Trudy does what she does. I found myself as invested in what went on in the past on this land as I was in what was happening in the present. There truly is absolutely nothing else quite like this series out there. Between Lori Zaremba's incredible talent, obvious knowledge, research, and care put into all of her work, and unique her voice create an experience like no other. Be prepared to have every emotion imaginable pulled from you while reading because it's a roller coaster ride! I laughed, I cried, I was left in shock, I swooned over the bits of romance, and I was CONSTANTLY on the edge of my seat unable to wait to see what was going to happen next!
